Terms of Use
General Terms and Conditions
Rent a Car Manare doo (hereinafter: Lessor) rents a vehicle to the Lessee (hereinafter: Lessee), whose details appear on the first page of the Vehicle Rental Agreement, under the following conditions:
1. Lessee Obligations
The Lessee is obliged to:
- Sign the Vehicle Rental Agreement by hand and thereby agree to all provisions of the agreement and these conditions
- Accept the prices and other rental conditions listed in the applicable price list as an integral part of the agreement
- Be at least 21 years of age for categories A to E and hold a valid driving licence for at least 2 years
- Be at least 23 years of age for categories K/CDMR to U/IWMR and hold a driving licence for at least 5 years
- Receive the vehicle in proper working order with all accessories and documents
- Return the rented vehicle by the agreed deadline or earlier upon the Lessor's request
- Request the Lessor's consent for any extension of the agreed rental period at least 48 hours before the return deadline
- Immediately stop driving if the odometer malfunctions and notify the Lessor of the defect
- Properly maintain and protect the vehicle during use
- Not use the rented vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, for unlawful purposes, for driver training, for transporting goods or passengers for payment, or for participation in motor sports events
- Not overload the vehicle beyond its permitted capacity
- Not use the rented vehicle abroad without the Lessor's consent
- Not replace any parts, assemblies or devices on the vehicle without the Lessor's consent
- Bear the costs of fuel consumed
Rent a Car Manare doo strictly observes the service intervals recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. For this reason, the Lessee is obliged to immediately notify the Manare doo office if any warning light appears on the dashboard or on-board computer of the rented vehicle.
2. Damage Compensation
If the Lessee fails to comply with the conditions in Article 1, they undertake to compensate the Lessor for all resulting damages, the amount of which is determined by the Lessor.
3. Maintenance Costs
The Lessor will reimburse the Lessee, upon presentation of proof of payment, for the costs of oil and regular vehicle maintenance as prescribed by the manufacturer (excluding vehicle washing costs during the rental period).
4. Deposit and Payment
The Lessee is required to pay a deposit upon renting a vehicle. The minimum deposit amount is 500 EUR in local currency equivalent. The Lessee must pay all rental costs immediately upon completion of the rental or upon vehicle pickup, if the Lessor so decides. Manare doo Rent a Car does not accept debit cards for deposit purposes.
5. Traffic Violations and Fines
The Lessee is obliged to pay all fines and traffic violations arising from improper use of the vehicle, including parking fines incurred during the rental period.
Persons aged 21–25 pay a young driver fee of 3,000 RSD per rental for eligible vehicles. Persons aged 70–75 pay a senior driver fee of 3,000 RSD per rental.
6. Third-Party Liability Insurance
The rental price includes insurance for damages caused to third parties up to the legally prescribed limit.
7. Risks Not Included in the Rental Price
- Damage to the rented vehicle resulting from a traffic accident
- Damage to the vehicle outside of a registered traffic accident (e.g. parking damage)
- Disappearance or theft of the rented vehicle
- Partial or total disability, or death of the driver and passengers resulting from an accident
8. Liability for Damage
The Lessee is liable for damage caused to the rented vehicle and for losses resulting from non-use (vehicle downtime during repairs). The financial loss is calculated at the daily rental rate per the applicable price list.
Insurance
9. CDW — Collision Damage Waiver
The Lessee may purchase CDW insurance to cover damage to the rented vehicle in the event of a traffic accident or other incident. All vehicle damage during the rental must be immediately reported to the Lessor and the relevant police authority on the spot. This insurance does not apply to Albania and the territory of Kosovo.
10. THW — Theft and Loss Insurance
The Lessee may purchase THW insurance to cover vehicle loss resulting from theft. Theft or disappearance of the vehicle must be reported immediately, without delay, to the Lessor and the relevant Police authority. If the theft is not reported to the Police, the Lessee pays the full value of the vehicle. This insurance does not apply to Albania and the territory of Kosovo.
11. PAI — Personal Accident Insurance
The Lessee may arrange insurance for all passengers (except the driver) up to the number of registered seats in the vehicle for disability or death resulting from a traffic accident. The insurance is not valid when the Lessee is driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Additional Rental Conditions
Billing and Duration
- Rental charges are denominated in Serbian Dinars (RSD)
- Minimum rental period is 24 hours, with a maximum allowance of 300 km per 24 hours. Each additional kilometre: 10 RSD/km + VAT
- Overuse of up to 59 minutes is not charged. After 60 minutes, an additional rental day is charged
- Unauthorised rental extension incurs, in addition to the daily rate, a fixed fee of 300 EUR per day
Additional Services Price List
- Vehicle delivery/pickup within the wider city centre: 500 RSD per service
- Service outside office hours: 1,500 RSD per service
- Missing fuel upon return: 3 EUR per litre
- External wash of heavily soiled vehicle: 2,400 RSD
- Full interior dry cleaning: 12,000 RSD
- Child/baby seat: 2,500 RSD per rental; if destroyed: 200 EUR
- Snow chains: 1,500 RSD per rental; if destroyed: 60 EUR
- Additional driver: 1,200 RSD per rental
- Lost key/remote: 500 EUR
- Lost/destroyed licence plate or documents: 150 EUR + VAT
- GPS navigation: 5 EUR + VAT per day (max 50 EUR); if lost: 1,000 EUR
- Cross-border fee: 1,500 RSD + VAT per rental
- Parking fines: 30 EUR + VAT; administrative processing fee: 20 EUR + VAT
- Odometer restoration: 1,000 EUR + VAT
- 20% VAT applies to all rental costs
Personal Data Protection
The Lessor, as the data controller, processes personal data solely for the purpose of fulfilling contractual obligations and providing services to the client, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Republic of Serbia. Data may be provided to the relevant state authorities (police, courts) when required by law. By signing the Rental Agreement, the Lessee confirms they are aware of the personal data processing rules and gives voluntary consent.
